Firefox機能拡張「Google Browser Sync」開発中止に

Google Browser Sync is a Firefox extension that synchronizes your bookmarks, web history, browser sessions and passwords across multiple computers by temporarily saving them to Google's servers.
異なるマシン間のFirefoxで、
・ブックマーク
・ウェブ履歴
・パスワード
などを同期させる「Google Browser Sync」という便利この上ないFirefox機能拡張があったのですが‥‥。
もともと小さいチームが開発していたようで、別のプロジェクトに移動しており、残念ながら「Firefox 3」向けにはアップデートされないようです。
また「Firefox 2」向けバージョンも、2008年末までの利用になるとのこと。
愛用していた人も多いでしょうから、これは残念なアナウンスですね。
代わりの機能拡張として、次の3つが紹介されています。
Offers bookmark and history synchronization across computers.
Store your bookmarks online and access them from any computer online. [although, this is not 3.0 compatible as of writing]
Foxmarks Bookmark Synchronizer
Synchronizes your bookmarks across all computers where it is installed.
ブックマークや履歴は同期してくれますが、パスワードまで同期してくれるものはないようなので、全く同じ使い勝手は難しいかもしれませんね。
